It's a NO-GO

OK so the whole trial with solids backfired. That next day Zach was not a happy camper. He is very rarely a fussy baby, unless he has a good reason to be one. Well, we werent positive that it was for sure the solids so we gave it a go the following evening. Not too long after he finished his solids he started in w/ being fussy, which then turned in to a full blown temper tantrum. Screaming uncontrollably, hysterical, pretty much freaking out. So, we knew, that his belly was just not ready for solids. The next afternoon he finally had a good ol' #2, trying to rid his belly of that nasty food. We had a MAJOR blowout, from the belly button around to his middle of his back. ICK! He is back to his normal self now, thank goodness! Happy go lucky baby!!

We took Nate to the dr. yesterday and found out he is 5th Disease. Somewhat like Measles in the look of it, but, its pretty much just a very contagious rash. After the rash appears you are no longer contagious and we noticed his rash on Sunday. So, the other kids have no rash, so they are either 1. contagious now or 2. missed out and didnt catch it. We will just have to watch and see how they all do over the next few days.

That's all to report at the moment. I'm sure we'll have more to talk about later!!

It's Dinner Time!!!

Well, Little Zach had some foods last night for the first time!!! He had a dr. appt yesterday for a recheck for his ears and weighin in at a stocky 16lbs 3.5oz he got the goahead to start some solids! Because he is a MSPI baby, she suggested we start with orange veggies first and hold off on the cereal. So, off we went to the store for our first baby food purchase. We grabbed carrots, sweet potatoes and squash. The first bite of carrots brought on a full body shiver LOL and a face of ACK! but then after a few more bites he was trying to grab the spoon and put it in himself. We are to give him 1/4 of a jar once a night. Then after awhile we can try another oranage veggie the next week so we can watch for any allergies. Here are a few pics of the little bubby and his yummy carrots!!

The Summer is about to Begin!!

The summer is about to begin! Today is the kids last day of school how time flies. Zach and I's routine is now over for the next 3 months...yikes! Our days will now consist of massive amounts of time in the suburban, running to gymnastics, transporting kids to parks and rec, baseball practice, day camp, and trips to the park. As much as I love my kids, I so love them at school! Zach and I will now miss our snuggle time in the chair in the afternoon too. I loathe for that snuggle time so mama can manage a hour nap if she's lucky. Ya think I can get a 12 yr old, a 8 yr old and a 7 yr old to take an afternoon nap??? HMMMMM

Abbie will be assistant coaching gymnastics this year for the little kids and she has also made 7th grade Choir so she will be attending Choir Camp this year too to find out if she has enough rhythm to be in show choir. Show choir is where they have to wear dresses and heels and then they travel and sing and have to do little moves when they sing. She was pretty psyched that she made it!

Molly got her CRT tests back (i think that's what they call them) where they do the testing and see how they rate throughout the state or nation?? Somewhat like a ACT's or whatever. Well she ACED them!! She scored 100% on each subject. How sweet is that!! I must have a lil genius!

Nate will be starting baseball again here next month and parks and rec w/ Molly. They will go to the local park every day for 3 hrs. They do crafts, go on trips to the bowling alley, to the zoo, to the baseball field in the big city, and play games at the park. At least that will give them something to do. He is also going to a reading summer camp this year to help him w/ his reading so he doesnt loose all he has learned over the summer.

Zach is getting over another ear infection poor boy. I think he ready for some solids. If he sees anyone w/ food, he will watch you eat it, and you can see it on his face, he is thinking, come on...just give me a lil bite! He goes to the dr for a recheck for his ears on Fri and if all is good, then his 4 mo checkup and shots. Im thinking she will say I can try some orange veggies or something, so looks like I am in the need of a highchair!!

Well this is all Zach is going to let me type. He is ready for his am nap I think so I will leave you all with that.

Enjoy your summer!!

Many Faces of Zachy

Just Chillin!

I cant believe it is May already!! How crazy is that?! Things are going well here, Zach has been fighting a cough and some wheezing and is taking his first breathing treatments and on steriods. Just once I wish everyone could be healthy in this house!

Zach has found his tongue, & keeps sticking it out wanting you to try to get it. It will bring hysterical laughs and I will try to catch it on video the next time to share with you all. He also found his "unit" once last week and gave it a good ol' grab while trying to wiggle away during his changing. He has learned how to dig his heels into the table and lift his tush off and push back to wiggle out of the diaper. LOVELY. He has fallen madly in love with Monsters Inc. Its gotta be the bright colors, but he loves to sit here and watch it. How else do you think I am posting here?? I am also pretty sure he is teething. He always has to have something to naw on, and has been giving himself hickies on his fingers.

Zach got to go to see his brother play baseball this past Thursday. It was a little windy but, we managed. We walked to get the kids from school one day last week when it wasnt too windy.

The kids only have 19 days left of school and then my "life during the day" is pretty much over. LOL I will be spending my waking hours running Abbie to gymnastics practice, she has also been asked to coach the little ones so she will be a coach this year, and running her to camp. Molly and Nate are going to parks and rec during the day, Nate will have baseball during the morning, and then they both will be going to camp too for a week (not staying the night just a 9-4 thing). Its nice on one hand that I wont have to worry about getting them ready for school, but, we will be doing more running around, which means more gas in the beast. Another LOVELY.
